Conservative Firebrand: Blaze Media

Blaze Media, established in 2018, through the combination of Glenn Beck’s The Blaze and Mark Levin’s CRTV. Created one of the largest conservative media platforms online and the coverage combined news reporting with opinion-focused content from various hosts and shows. The Blaze focuses on traditional American values, free-market capitalism, and limited government; Blaze Media primarily caters to a right-leaning, conservative audience who want an alternative to mainstream news outlets.

The Blaze offers a number of shows hosted by prominent conservative figures, including Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Steven Crowder. These programs cover topics ranging from politics and culture to religion and economics, often focusing on pushing a narrative that challenges progressive ideologies. Blaze Media has also embraced the digital shift, and offers media in many forms on both free and subscription-based services. Content types include podcasts, videos, articles and more short form content that can be posted on social media sites.

Looking ahead, Blaze Media aims to expand its reach by investing in original programming and exploring new distribution channels in addition to obtaining more conservative hosts to run shows on their platform. The Blaze will likely continue to position itself as a leading voice in conservative media with their focus being on influencing political discourse and informing people from a conservative point of view.

  1. Blaze Media seems to be a textbook example of how today's media isn't just reporting politics, but shaping it. As audiences grow more polarized, outlets like The Blaze aren't just offering news, but maybe more so an identity?! With personalities like Glenn Beck and Steven Crowder, the platform doesn't just challenge progressive ideas, but it builds a community around conservative ones. The real takeaway may be that in the age of digital first media, influence isn't just about information, but a sense of belonging?
